Pretty Little Liars Fashion and Beauty: Emily Fields

Fashion:

Emily Fields (played by Shay Mitchell) has a very sporty fashion style. I would probably call it a very tomboy yet chic style. I love the way that all her outfits are put together so that they all reflect her style. Another thing that I love about Emily's outfits is that she wears comfortable clothes while still looking stylish at the same time.

Tips:

• Think Bright Colours. Embrace Emily's style by wearing lots of bright, block colours like yellow, blue, peach, pink and red.
• Dress for Comfort. Choose comfortable yet stylish clothes such as cargo pants, jeans, minis or loose fitting tops and sweatshirts like Emily as opposed to wearing tight, restricting clothes.
• Try Loose Tops. Emily likes to wear loose t-shirts and tops. Try an off-the-shoulder top to be comfortable and stylish at the same time. You can also try buying cardigans or jumpers that are a few sizes too large so that they are baggy and comfortable.
• Grab Some Sneakers. Emily wears most of her outfits with a pair of stylish sneakers. Wear sneakers in the colour of your outfit if possible. For a high end option try Converse or Vans, for a cheaper alternative, try picking up some sneakers from a cheap shoe shop.
• Bag a Bag. Emily likes larger, more practical bags that hold everything she needs it to instead of carrying a tiny little handbag or clutch where it's very difficult to fit everything that you want to take out with you.
• Tone Down the Jewelry. With Emily's style, less is more in relation to jewelry. Emily's jewelry is usually simple but feminine. Her earrings are usually plain stud earrings in gold of silver. She sometimes wears simple, stacked bracelets or statement watches.

Beauty:

Emily is naturally beautiful and she shows it off by wearing minimal makeup. The makeup that she does wear is very natural and she only uses it to enhance her natural beauty, she never cakes on layer upon layer of makeup. Emily's hair is also kept very natural looking sticking to simple waves and very basic hairstyles.

Tips:

• Keep it natural. Just use makeup to enhance your features, don't apply layer upon layer.
• Excellent Eyebrows. Emily has thin, well-shaped eyebrows. To get her look, next time you get your eyebrows done, take a picture and show it to the person doing them so they will know what you want. Having eyebrows like this does require some effort to keep them shaped so pluck out any stray hairs with tweezers. If you feel that your eyebrows are too sparse, fill them in with brow powder or eyeshadow.
• Easy Eyeshadow. Stick to natural eye shadows. Use brown toned eyeshadow and don't make it too obvious. Avoid using shimmer eye shadows because they are very obvious and the goal is for very minimal natural makeup.
• Extraordinary Eyeliner. If you want to, you can use a light-coloured eyeliner on your waterline and inner corner. Using a light coloured  eyeliner will make your eyes seem more open and awake instead of looking smaller as when using a dark colour like black or dark blue. Use a black eyeliner on your tight line to fill in the gaps between your top lashes to make them stand out more.
• Magnificent Mascara. Emily tends to stick to wearing minimal mascara. To copy her look, first curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Next, use a black mascara and wriggle it side to side while applying to get maximum product on the lashes.
• Brilliant Blush. Make sure that when buying blush you select a colour that will match your skin tone so that it's not too obvious. Apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks to give your skin a natural looking flush.
• Beautiful Bronzer. Lightly dust a bit of bronzer onto your face to add a natural looking glow. Apply bronzer to your forehead, the sides of your nose, and underneath your cheekbones. If you want your jawline to look more defined you can lightly apply some bronzer just underneath your jawline.
• Lovely Lipstick. Emily stays within the boundaries of nude or very light pink coloured lipstick. Buy a lipstick that will go with your skin tone. To copy Emily's look, you can either use a matte lipstick or a lip gloss, Emily switches between both.
• Hair. Emily keeps her hair very natural. Avoid using tools such as curlers or straighteners as the heat damages your hair quickly. Emily usually either has her hair in loose waves or straight. To get your hair straight the way that Emily does by using a blow dryer.
